Nestled along the
meandering banks of the Yellow Breeches Creek, the residential community of
Green Lane Farms was established in 1961. In the more than four decades
since, second, even third generation, “Farmers” have returned to live and
raise their families.
Green Lane Farms is a
family oriented community. Seasonal activities and events are provided the
Green Lane Farms Town Meeting Association. The Association meets ten times a
year to plan events that enrich the community spirit of our neighborhood.
One of the outstanding
features of Green Lane Farms is the historical entrance. Residents and
visitors to the Farms cross the historic, one-lane Etters Bridge. Built in
1889 at a cost of $3,524, the bridge is the last wrought iron bridge of its
type in this area. The bridge was declared an historical landmark in 1987,
thus preserving it’s place in our community in perpetuity.
